Postcard from Botswana!
Today I got a cool postcard from Botswana! The card features an illustration of the many animals that can be found in the country's wetlands. It was issued by the Botswana Post. Botswana, officially the Republic of Botswana, is a country in southern Africa. It gained independence from the British in 1966 and has had relatively stable development since then. Its capital city is Gabarone and it has a population of 2.1 million people. Thanks Tian!
Postcard from New Zealand!
Today I got a great postcard from New Zealand! The postcard shows an aerial view of the Southerner. The Southerner was an express train that served South Island for about 30 years. It was once one of the best trains in New Zealand and it also served what was once the southernmost passenger train station in the world, Invercargill. On the card we see plenty of sheep and Mt. Cover, Postcard, Guide, & Tea from Panama!
Today I got an awesome cover from Panama! In it was a nice colorful guidebook, a bag of tea, and a postcard. The postcard shows multiple views of Boquete, ChiriquÃ, a small town in the highlands of the country. Panama, officially known as the Republic of Panama, is the southernmost country of North America. With an area of about 75,000 square kilometres, the country has a population of about 3.6 million people. The official language is Spanish and its capital city is Panama City. Thanks Amy!

Postcard from Switzerland!
Today I got a nice postcard from Switzerland! The postcard shows multiple views of the city of Bern, which is located in the Canton of Bern. It is the country's capital, also called the Bundesstadt. It has a population of nearly 140,000 people and its main language is Swiss German. Interestingly, a dialect called Bernese German is spoken here. Cover & Postcards from the USA!
Today I got a nice cover with a lot of postcards from the USA! The postcards shows multiple places in the state of California. These include the Victorian homes along Steiner Street, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and Lombard Street, the iconic crooked street. Alcatraz Island is located 1.5 miles offshore from San Francisco It once served mainly as a federal prison until becoming a national historic landmark and recreational site. It also houses the oldest operating lighthouse on the west coast of the country. I received these cards as part of the redditgifts postcard exchange. Thanks noshunintended!

Cover & Postcards from the USA!
Today I got a nice cover with great postcards from the USA! The first postcard showed a map of the state of North Carolina along with its different views and its state bird, the Cardinal. The second card showed Fort Bragg, the home of the US Army Special Operations Command, the 82nd Airborne Division, and other Army units. The third postcard shows a view of the football stadium in Charlotte, with a capacity of 72,000 people. Lastly, we see a postcard with a view of Gatlinburg, a city in the state of Tennessee with a population of about 4,000,000 people. Thanks Svetlana!

Postcard from Germany!
Today I got a nice postcard from Germany! The postcard features a view of Villa Hügel, which is located in Essen. The villa was built by Alfred Krupp of the Krupp family of industrialists in 1873. It has 269 rooms and spans 8,100 square metres on a 28 hectare property. It is currently used as the office of the Ruhr Cultural Foundation and as an art gallery. Postcard from the USA!
Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard shows a scene with an amish farmer driving a team of horses and a wagon of corn shocks. There are many Amish communities in Pennsylvania, including the Amish Farm and House in Lancaster. The farm, which was originally given to the colonial governor by the founder of the state, is a major tourist attraction. It is the first Amish tourist attraction. Thanks Derek!

Postcard from Namibia!
Today I got a great card from Namibia! The postcard features a scene with two gemsbok at Etosha National Park. Interestingly, the gemsbok still maintain a seasonal migration from east to west despite the park being fenced. Namibia, officially known as the Republic of Namibia, is a country in the western portion of southern Africa. It borders the Atlantic Ocean and it gained its independence from South Africa in 1990. Its capital city is Windhoek and it has a population of 2.1 million people. Nice stamps featuring birds were used! Thanks Irene!

Postcard from the USA!
Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard features a scene at Haystack Rock, which is located in the state of Oregon. It is a sea stack that stands at about 72 metres and it sits just outside Cannon Beach. It is primarily made up of basalt and was formed from a volcanic eruption more than ten million years ago. The rock is accessible via foot during low tide and its tide pool and rock surface serve as a home and nesting site for many different animals. Thanks Anna!

Postcard from Russia!
Today I got a great postcard of Russia! The postcard features a black and white portrait of Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin. Yuri Gagarin was born in 1934 and was a Soviet pilot and cosmonaut. He is most known for being the first human to travel to outer space. This took place on April 12, 1961, when his Vostok spacecraft orbited the Earth. He was awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union award and later taught at the Cosmonaut Training Center. Thanks Nastia!
