Today I got a really cool cover from Ireland! The cover features two stamps from An Post's 2014 issue of Game Icons. Seen on the card are illustrations of Nintendo's Mario and Taito Corp's Space Invaders. These were designed by Zinc Design Consultants. The stamp set was issued to commemorate gaming's rise from being a novelty into a multi-billion dollar global industry. Ireland also has some of the highest percentages of households with a gaming device. Inside the cover was a card from the Chester Beatty Library in Dublin. Thanks David!

Postcard from Ireland!
Today I got a great postcard from Ireland! The postcard shows a view of the Hook Lighthouse, which is also known as the Hook Head Lighthouse. It is located at the tip of the Hook Peninsula in County Wexford. It is known for being one of the world's oldest lighthouses and is Ireland's oldest lighthouse. The current structure is about 800 years old and is made primarily of limestone. Its tower stands at 35 metres and it was first automated in 1996. The postcard is an official Postcrossing card, IE-76393. Thanks Paul!

Postcard from Ireland!
Today I got a nice postcard from Ireland! The card features Guinness Beer, arguably one of Ireland's most iconic exports. Guinness is one of the most successful and popular beer brands in the world. St James's Gate Brewery, where it is made, was once the largest brewery in the world. Today, it is the largest brewer of stout. It was originally leased to Arthur Guinness in 1759. Thanks Lea!

Postcard from Ireland!
Today I received a card from the Republic of Ireland! Ireland is the third biggest island in Europe and is divided into two parts. The majority of the island is under the Republic of Ireland while the northern part of the island is part of the United Kingdom. Shown here are views of the Cliffs of Moher, which faces the Atlantic Ocean. The area is home to many different species of sea birds and wild flowers. Thanks Yvonne!
