Postcard from Morocco!

Today I got a great postcard from Morocco! The postcard shows a view of Aït Benhaddou. Aït Benhaddou, officially known as the Ksar of Aït Benhaddou, is a city located along the historic caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. It is known for its historic kasbah, although most inhabitants today live in a separate part of the city in order to preserve it. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is often a location for filming. Films like Gladiator, The Mummy, Kingdom of Heaven, Babel, and the show Game of Thrones were shot there. Today I got a beautiful postcard from Morocco! The postcard shows a view of Jemaa El Fna, the busiest square in Africa, which is located in the city of Marrakech. Marrakech is a major historical city and was officially founded in 1062 by Abu Bakr ibn Umar. As one of Morocco's former imperial cities, it features a fortified section, which is called the medina, where the square is located. Marrakech is currently a major economic centre and a top tourist destination. It has a population of about 900,000 people. Today I got a great postcard from Morocco! Morocco, officially called the Kingdom of Morocco, is a country in North Africa. Its Arabic name is al-Mamlakat al-Maghribiyyah (The Western Kingdom). The card shows some interesting scenes like a camel at rest in the desert, locals riding horses, and so on.  The stamp features the current King of Morocco, His Majesty Mohammed VI of Morocco.
