Today I got a cool postcard from Bhutan! The postcard shows a view of the majestic Jomolhari mountain. Also called Chomolhari, it is sometimes also called "the bride of Kangchenjunga" and it is located in the Himalayas. It separates Tibet from Bhutan and it has a prominence of about 2,000 kilometres. It is the source of a river called Paro Chu and it is a sacred site for Tibetan Buddhists. Thanks Mukul!

Postcard from Bhutan!
Today I received a wonderful card from Bhutan! Bhutan, which is officially known as the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked country near the Himalayas. It has a population of nearly 750,000 people and its capital is Thimphu, where this card was sent from. Bhutan was ranked as the happiest nation in Asia (8th in the world) and it is a country I would like to one day visit, as many people say it is very beautiful. The card was issued by the Posts & Telegraphs of the Bhutan Post. A nice Year of the Dragon stamp was used. Thanks Mukul!
