Today I got a beautiful postcard from Liechtenstein! The postcard shows a view of Vaduz Castle. The castle is the official residence of the Prince of Liechtenstein. It also shares its name with its surrounding town, which is the capital of the country. It was built sometime during the 12th century but only came under the possession of the Princely Family of Liechtenstein in the 18th century. It is currently not open to the public. The card was sent by Ruedi from Switzerland who visited the country. A nice Year of the Horse stamp was used! Thanks Ruedi!

Postcard from Liechtenstein!
Today I received a wonderful card from the European country of Liechtenstein! It is officially called the Principality of Liechtenstein. It is a small country with a land area of 160 square kilometres and a population of 35,000. The country has the highest GDP per person in the world. It was sent by Ruedi of Switzerland who went to Liechtenstein. Thank you Ruedi!
