Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard shows a view of the iconic Willis Tower, a skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. The building was once called the Sears tower and stands at 442 metres. It was once the tallest building in the world for 25 years. It is currently the second highest building in the country and its largest tenant is United Airlines. It is also the city's most popular tourist destination, with over one million people visiting its observation deck annually. The postcard is an official Postcrossing card, US-2928491. Thanks Paula!

Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard shows the skyline of the city of Chicago, one of the United States' major cities. It is the country's third most populous city and also has the third most populous metropolitan area in the country. It was first settled in 1770 and covers an area of 234 square miles. The Willis Tower, also known as the Sears Tower, is seen here. It is the city's most iconic landmark and is currently the United States' second tallest building. Cover & Postcards from the USA!

Today I got a nice cover with a lot of postcards inside from the USA! On the cover, two beautiful ship stamps were used in addition to a stamp commemorating the 50th anniversary of the US Airmail Service. Twelve postcards were included inside! The postcards show scenes of Chicago, Park Ridge Hospital in North Carolina, barns of the Palouse area in Idaho, the falls at Yosemite National Park in California, the river at Kings Canyon National Park in California, the Berrien County Court House in Michigan, the Erie County Courthouse in Sandusky, Ohio, the Ingham County Courthouse in Michigan, the lighthouse at St. Joseph North Pier in Michigan, the city of Grand Rapids in Michigan, the Little Traverse Lighthouse in Harbor Springs, Michigan, and finally, the lighthouse in Michigan City, Indiana. Thank you very much Candy!

Today I got a nice card from the USA! It shows a night view of the city of Chicago, one of the biggest cities in the USA. It is located in the state of Illinois. Seen on the card is Cloud Gate, a public sculpture by Anish Kapoor. It is known as "The Bean" and has no visible seams. Thanks Christina! 

Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a great card from the USA! The card shows an old view of the Main Quadrangles of the University of Chicago. The picture was taken some time around 1916. The University of Chicago is a top-ranked university, with over 80 of its professors winning the Nobel Prize. The card is an official postcrossing card, US-2386008. Thanks Kate!
