Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard shows an illustrated map of the state of New Jersey. New Jersey, which is often referred to as the Garden State, is located in the Northeastern part of the United States. It is the fourth smallest state in the country but with a population of nearly 9 million people, it is also the most densely populated state. Due to its location in the middle of many major cities like New York and Philadelphia, New Jersey has been experiencing rapid growth. Its capital city is Trenton while its largest city is Newark. Its state bird is the Eastern Goldfinch and its state flower is the Viola sororia. Thanks Kati!

Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The card shows a view of the historic battleship, USS New Jersey. As one of the most decorated battleships in US history, it serves as a floating museum on the Delaware River near Camden, New Jersey. Also seen on the card is the New Jersey State Aquarium and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Used were two great space related stamps! Thanks J.D.!

Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a nice card from the USA! The card shows a view of the Meadowlands Sports Complex, which consists of the Meadowland Racetrack, the Sports Arena, and the Sports Hall of Fame. It is also known as the Giants stadium, the home of the Giants Football Team. Used was a nice recently issued stamp commemorating the historical Inverted Jenny stamp. Thanks Amy!

Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a nice card from the USA! The card shows Procter Hall at the Graduate College in Princeton University. The window you see here represents the Light of the World illuminating the Seven Liberal Arts of Christian learning. Princeton is a private research university located in the state of New Jersey and it is part of the Ivy League. Thanks Paige!
