Today I received my chain postcard from Singapore, Taiwan, and China! The theme of the chain was tropical fishes. I used a card depicting Philippine Diving, which is known for high levels of biodiversity. Two Singaporean stamps were used. One showed the Yellow-faced Angelfish and one showed the Pearlscale Butterflyfish. One Taiwanese stamp was used and one Chinese stamp was used. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Chain Postcard from Singapore, Russia, & Ukraine!

Today I got my Christmas Chain Postcard! This postcard travelled to Singapore, Russia, & Ukraine! To start the chain, I used the most recent Philippine Christmas stamps. Great 2011 and 2013 stamps from Ukraine were used while some playful 2012 Singapore stamps were also used. Both 2006 and 2011 Christmas stamps from Russia were used. The card shows two traditional decorations in Philippine Christmases - the belen or nativity scene and the parol, star-shaped lanterns. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Chain Postcard from China, Taiwan, & Japan!

Today I got my Year of the Horse Chain Postcard from China, Taiwan, and Japan! Chain postcards are postcards that are sent from one country to another in order to accumulate a lot of different stamps and postmarks on the postcard. This is my first chain postcard and the theme was the 2014 Year of the Horse. Beautiful Year of the Horse stamps from three different countries and the Philippines are on the postcard. I used a postcard depicting the iconic Kalesa, a horse-driven carriage, travelling along the boardwalk at Manila Bay. Thanks to all those who participated!
