Postcard from Hungary!

Today I got a nice postcard from Hungary! The postcard shows a nighttime view of the National Theatre in Budapest. The National Theatre first opened in 1837 but the current theatre we see here only opened in 2002. The company moved between a variety of temporary theatres until it permanently moved in this theatre. The complex spans 20,000 square metres and has a main building and a separate park with an open theatre. It can accomodate 619 people and has many memorials to prominent figures in the country's cultural past. The card is an official Postcrossing card, HU-76897. Thanks Eniko!
