Today I got a nice postcard from China! The postcard shows a view of the Red Flag Canal. The canal is an irrigation canal located in Henan in China. The canal diverts water from the Zhang River and runs along the side of a cliff and through many tunnels. The main canal is 71 kilometres long and it sits near the borders of the provinces of Henan, Hebei, and Handan. It was built during China's Great Leap Forward and was made entirely with hand labour. The postcard was published by China Post and features a preprinted matching stamp. The card is an official Postcrossing card, CN-1415093. Thanks GuangQi!
