Today I got a beautiful card from San Marino! San Marino, officially called the Republic of San Marino, is an enclaved micro-state located within Italy. It is known to be the oldest surviving sovereign state and constitutional republic, founded on the 3rd of September, 301 AD by Marinus of Arba. Shown on the card is the First Tower, one of the Three Towers located on Monte Titano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the country's capital. These three towers also appear in the country's flag and coat of arms. Used were two stamps depicting the Italian football team, AC Milan. The card was sent by Marita from Finland who was on vacation there. Thanks Marita!
