Postcard from Andorra!
Today I received a beautiful card from Principality of Andorra! It showcases a scene in Ordino, Andorra's northernmost parish. Andorra is a very small country in southwestern Europe with a population of 85, 00 and a land area of 468 square kilometres. It was created in 988. It is called a principality because it is a monarchy with two co-princes, the Spanish Bishop of Urgell and the President of France. The country is relatively isolated due to geography and it remained neutral during the Second World War. Its main driving force today is tourism, as it is a popular venue for European tourists and winter sports enthusiasts. Thank you Marta!
