Postcard from Russia!
Today I received a nice postcard from Russia! The postcard shows a view of the Moscow Kremlin. On the card we see the Srednaya Arsenalnaya and Troitskaya towers. We also see the Eternal Flame in the Alexandrovsky Garden. The remains of an unknown defender were interred in this spot in 1966 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Nazi retreat from Moscow. Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard shows an aerial view of the Pentagon, the headquarters of the Department of Defense. Named for its unique shape, it is located in Arlington, Virginia. Hosting about 26,000 employees, it has 340,000 square metres of office area. It was designed by George Bergstrom and was completed on 1943. The postcard is an official Postcrossing card, US-3197545. Thanks Nina!

Postcard from China!
Today I got a nice postcard from China! The card shows the Temple of Heaven, a Daoist temple located near the center of Beijing. Built in the early 15th century, it was visited regularly by emperors in order to send prayers to heaven for good harvest. On the card we see the central building called the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks Sophie!

Postcard from Germany!
Today I got a beautiful postcard from Germany! The postcard shows a nice winter view of Neuschwanstein Castle. The castle, located near the village of Hohenschwangau, was built using the personal funds of Ludwig II of Bavaria. After his death in 1886, it was opened to the public and it has been visited by millions of people since. It served as the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty's Castle located in Disneyland. Postcard from the USA!
Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard shows an aerial view of iconic New York City. As one of the world's largest natural harbours, the city was originally founded as a trading post by Dutch colonists. It was called New Amsterdam in the early 17th century. It came under English control in the late 18th century and served briefly as the country's capital city. It has also been the largest city in the country since then. Cover & Postcards from the USA!
Today I got a nice cover with a lot of postcards from the USA! The postcards shows multiple places in the state of California. These include the Victorian homes along Steiner Street, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and Lombard Street, the iconic crooked street. Alcatraz Island is located 1.5 miles offshore from San Francisco It once served mainly as a federal prison until becoming a national historic landmark and recreational site. It also houses the oldest operating lighthouse on the west coast of the country. I received these cards as part of the redditgifts postcard exchange. Thanks noshunintended!

Postcard from Spain!
Today I got a beautiful panoramic postcard from Spain! The postcard shows a view of the Sagrada Família, which is located in Barcelona. The popular church was designed by Anotni Gaudí and is formally called the Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família. It is considered one of the best examples of Gothic architecture and is actually still incomplete. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is estimated to be completed in the late 2020's and has a capacity of 9,000 people. The card was sent by my dad who visited it. Thanks Dad!

Postcard from the USA!
Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard shows a view of the iconic Willis Tower, a skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. The building was once called the Sears tower and stands at 442 metres. It was once the tallest building in the world for 25 years. It is currently the second highest building in the country and its largest tenant is United Airlines. Postcard from Malaysia!
Today I got a great postcard from Malaysia! The postcard shows a nice view of the Petronas Towers, Malaysia's world-famous landmark. Known also as the Petronas Twin Towers, it is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital city. It was once the tallest building in the world from 1998 to 2004. It houses commercial offices and was designed by César Pelli. Between the 41st and 42nd floors there is a 2-story skybridge that is 58 metres long. Thanks Cendy!

Postcard from the USA!
Today I got a cool postcard from the USA! The postcard features an aerial view of Boston's iconic Fenway Park. Fenway Park is the storied home of the Boston Red Sox, a Major League Baseball team. It has served as the team's home since its opening in 192 and is the oldest MLB stadium still in use. It is also one of the smallest baseball parks in MLB, with only 37,500 seats. The historic stadium has hosted ten World Series events, seven of which were won by the Red Sox. The postcard is an official Postcrossing card, US-2863156. Thanks Jim!

Postcard from the United Nations!
Today I got a cool postcard from the United Nations! The postcard, which depicts a street-level view of the Headquarters of the United Nations, was sent from the place itself through the United Nations Postal Administration. The headquarters is a complex in New York City which was completed in 1952. The premises are extraterritorial in nature and are therefore solely administered and governed by the United Nations. John D. Rockefeller, Jr donated the land for the complex and his personal architect oversaw its construction. Thanks Lorraine!

Postcard from China!
Today I got a cool postcard from China! The postcard shows a view of the Terracotta Army, one of China's most popular icons. Also known as the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, it was originally built as funerary art to protect China's first emperor in the afterlife. It was discovered in 1974 and it is estimated that there are about 8,000 soldiers and over 600 horses. The site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks Sally!

Postcard from the Netherlands!
Today I got a nice postcard from the Netherlands! The postcard features several wind and water mills along the water, a common sight throughout the country. Wind and water mills are very common throughout the country and were originally used to dry lakes and keep the land from flooding. Postcard from Australia!
Today I got a beautiful postcard from Australia! The postcard features a great sunrise view of the Sydney Opera House. The Sydney Opera House is arguably Australia's most popular landmark and is a major tourist attraction. It was designed by the architect Jørn Utzon, a Danish architect. Postcard from the United Arab Emirates!
Today I got a great postcard from the United Arab Emirates! The postcard shows a spectacular view of Downtown Dubai. Burj Khalifa, a skyscraper seen slightly to the left of the center is the most prominent part of the skyline. It is the tallest man-made structure int he world, standing at 829.8 metres. Construction on the building was started in 2004 and it was once known as Burj Dubai. It has 163 floors and was designed by the architect Adrian Smith. Its official opening was on January 4, 2010 and it reportedly cost $1.5 billion to make. Thanks Sana!
