Today I got a nice postcard from China! The postcard shows an old drawn map of Beijing, China's capital city. The first walled city in the area was called Ji and it existed from between the 11th and 7th century BC. The city later became China's capital under its first emperor. Thanks Erika!

Postcard from China!
Today I got a nice postcard from China! The card shows the Temple of Heaven, a Daoist temple located near the center of Beijing. Built in the early 15th century, it was visited regularly by emperors in order to send prayers to heaven for good harvest. On the card we see the central building called the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks Sophie!

Today I got a nice cover with a postcard from China! The postcard depicts a male actor in traditional Chinese opera. He is playing the role of Pei Yuanqing in the play Burning Pei Yuanqing. Today I got a nice panoramic postcard from China! The postcard shows an aerial view of Wu Gorge. Also sometimes called the Second Gorge, it is part of the Three Gorges system of the Yangtze River. Postcard from China!
Today I got a beautiful panoramic postcard from China! The postcard features a wide view of the skyline of the city of Shanghai at sunset. Shanghai is the largest Chinese city by population and has a population of about 24 million people. It has the world's busiest container port as well. Used were stamps commemorating Airshow China and it also features the special first day cancel for the said stamps. Thanks Hanghui!

As the world's second largest country, it cover about 9,600,000 square kilometres. It has many different geographical features such as deserts, forests, steppes, and rivers. Postcard from China!
Today I got a nice postcard from China! The postcard shows a picture of Cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms, which are also sometimes called Sakura, are flowers of the Japanese Cherry of the genus Prunus. They were originally native to the Himalayas but have since been propagated in various locations with similarly cold temperatures. Today I got a nice postcard from China! The postcard shows a view of the Red Flag Canal. The canal is an irrigation canal located in Henan in China. The canal diverts water from the Zhang River and runs along the side of a cliff and through many tunnels. The main canal is 71 kilometres long and it sits near the borders of the provinces of Henan, Hebei, and Handan. It was built during China's Great Leap Forward and was made entirely with hand labour. Postcard from China!
Today I got a nice postcard from China! The postcard features a view of the Mukden Palace, also known as the Shenyang Imperial Palace. The palace was constructed in 1625. It served as the imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty. It was the home of the first three emperors of the Qing Dynasty. Dazheng Hall is the earliest building in the palace. Chain Postcard from Singapore, Taiwan, and China!
Today I received my chain postcard from Singapore, Taiwan, and China! The theme of the chain was tropical fishes. I used a card depicting Philippine Diving, which is known for high levels of biodiversity. Two Singaporean stamps were used. One showed the Yellow-faced Angelfish and one showed the Pearlscale Butterflyfish. One Taiwanese stamp was used and one Chinese stamp was used. Thanks to everyone who participated!
