Postcard from Hungary!
Today I got a nice postcard from Hungary! The postcard shows a painted scene in the city of Sopron. Sopron is located near the Austrian border and occupies about 169 square kilometres. The area has been inhabited since the Roman Empire, during which it was called Scarbantia. Today, the city has a population of 61,000 people and is noted for its well-preserved medieval structures. Interestingly, some say it is the dental capital of the world, with over 300 dental clinics. Thanks Anie!

The complex spans 20,000 square metres and has a main building and a separate park with an open theatre. It can accomodate 619 people and has many memorials to prominent figures in the country's cultural past. The card is an official Postcrossing card, HU-76897. Thanks Eniko!
