Postcard from Denmark!

Today I got a nice postcard from Denmark! The postcard features a view of Kronborg Castle, which is located in Helsingør. The castle originated as one of the strongholds guarding the entrance to the Baltic Sea. It was then transformed by King Frederick II into a castle. It was rebuilt by King Christian IV after a fire had destroyed most of it. The castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks Svea!

Postcard from Denmark!

Today I got a beautiful panoramic postcard from Denmark! The postcard shows a view of Kronborg Castle, a castle located in the town of Helsingør on the island of Zealand. It is most known as "Elsinore" in Shakepeare's timeless play, Hamlet. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was once a fortress that controlled the entrance to the Baltic Sea before being turned into a Renaissance castle. Thanks Genek!

Postcard from Denmark!

Today I got a nice postcard from Denmark! The card shows a portrait of Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark. She is the wife of Fredrik, Crown Prince of Denmark and will become Queen consort when he inherits the throne. She was originally from Australia and she met the Crown Prince when he was visiting Australia for the Summer Olympics. Thanks Volker!

Postcard from Denmark!

Today I got a really cool postcard from Denmark! It shows the ship Danmark, which participated in the 2013 Tall Ships Race & Regatta in  Århus. The Danmark is a full three-masted ship that is used for maritime training. The race had over 100 ships participating. It must have been great! Thanks Chris!

Postcard from Denmark!

Today I received a beautiful panoramic postcard from Copehagen in Denmark. Copenhagen is the capital city of the Kingdom of Denmark. The city has a metropolitan population of 1,954,411 people. It is the center of the country in terms of government, finance, and education. The card features a scene of Nyhavn, the waterfront district of the city. The historic district has a lot of cafes and restaurants today. At the time of sending, it was 26 ° Celsius in Copenhagen, the hottest day since 2010! In the Philippines, we would normally think of that as a cold day.

I would like to highlight the use of the Wavy Line stamp, which is the second oldest stamp series in the world!

Thank you so much Chris!
