Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard features a scene at the Farmer's Market in Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Wednesdays and Saturdays are designated as market days and many of the local Amish come to the market, which is also called the Amish Market. The Amish come in their horses and buggies and sell produce, foodstuffs, antiques, and other merchandise. Nice amish quilt stamps were used! Thanks Eric!

Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard features a view of the "Maryland Dove," a replica of the ship that accompanied Lord Baltimore on the first colonization voyage to Maryland in 1634. It is currently used as a history museum at Old St. Mary's City. Used were several beautiful stamps all related to ships! Included were stamps commemorating the USS Constitution, the Virginia Capes, Irish Immigration, and Maryland. Two older stamps were used too. One from 1957 featured the Virginia of Sagadamock and one from 1934 featured the Maryland Tricentenary. Thanks Eric!

Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The card shows the Statue of Christus Consolator located inside the Johns Hopkins Hospital, one of the foremost hospitals in the world. It is situated right inside the main hospital entrance and serves as a symbol of healing and comfort for the sick. Thanks Carol!

Today I got a nice card from the USA! The card shows a view of the Inner Harbor in the city of Baltimore. Also seen in the harbor is the USS Constellation. Thanks Sher!

Today I got a great card from the USA! I shows an aerial view of Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Medical School, and the School of Hygiene & Public Health. Johns Hopkins is considered to be one of the very best in the US and throughout the world as a hospital and as a medical school. It is located in Baltimore in the state of Maryland. Thanks Lisa!

Today I received another cool card from the USA! This is one of two cards sent by Jonathan and the other one is in the preceding post. This card showcases the National Cryptologic Museum, where one can learn about code making and code breaking and the history of signals intelligence. The museum is a part of the NSA. Thanks again Jonathan!

Today I got a cool postcard from the USA! It showcases National Security Agency, which is the USA's signals intelligence agency. It headquarters is located at Fort George G. Meade in the state of Maryland. The card was published by the NSA's Office of Public and Media Affairs and the card is available at the NSA's National Cryptologic Museum, which the sender visited. I really like cards related to the military or to intelligence! Thanks Jonathan!
