Today I got a nice postcard from China! The card shows the Temple of Heaven, a Daoist temple located near the center of Beijing. Built in the early 15th century, it was visited regularly by emperors in order to send prayers to heaven for good harvest. On the card we see the central building called the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks Sophie!
