Postcard from the Canary Islands!

Today I got a nice postcard from the Canary Islands! The postcard shows multiple views of Teide National Park. It is located on the island of Tenerife. Its main attraction is Mount Teide, which has a peak height of 3, 718 metres and is the highest peak on Spanish soil. It is also the world's largest volcano as measured from its base on the ocean floor. Another volcano located here is the Pico Viejo, with a peak of 3,135 metres. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks Patricia!

Postcard from the Canary Islands!

Today I got a beautiful card from the Canary Islands! The Canaries are a Spanish autonomous community and it is located off the coast of Africa in the northwest. They were once used as a stopping point for the galleons going to America from Spain. The card shows a great view of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Thanks so much Adolf!
