Postcard from China!

Today I got a nice postcard from China! The postcard shows a scene in the historic Chinese opera. Chinese opera evolved from multiple forms of drama throughout China's long history. Several forms exist due to regional differences but the Beijing opera is the most popular. Today, it is mostly performed in formal Chinese opera houses. It is rarely performed in public.
