Postcard from the Czech Republic!

Today I got a nice panoramic postcard from the Czech Republic! The postcard shows all the different UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Czech Republic. All in all, there are twelve sites in the country. They are - the Gardens and Castle at Kroměříž, Historic Centre of Český Krumlov, Historic Centre of Prague, Historic Centre of Telč, Holašovice Historical Village Reservation, Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc, Jewish Quarter and St Procopius' Basilica in Třebíč, Kutná Hora: Historical Town Centre with the Church of St Barbara and the Cathedral of Our Lady at Sedlec, Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape, Litomyšl Castle, Pilgrimage Church of St John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora, Tugendhat Villa in Brno. A nice 2013 motorcycle stamp was used and it was cancelled using a special Postcrossing postmark! Thanks Midal!

Postcard from the Czech Republic!

Today I got a beautiful panoramic postcard from the Czech Republic! The postcard shows a close-up view of the Prague astronomical clock, a popular landmark in Prague, the country's capital city. It was installed in 1410 and is mounted on the southern wall of Old Town City Hall. It is the oldest astronomical clock still working. It is famous for its unique design and its animated figurines. Used were a variety of beautiful stamps! Most notably, a Postcrossing-themed postmark was used. This unique postmark was only available for a week at the Prague post office. Thanks Michal!
