Today I got a nice postcard from Hungary! The postcard shows a night view of Budapest's iconic Széchenyi Chain Bridge. It is a suspension bridge that traverses the Danube River and connects Buda and Pest. It was designed by William Clark and was opened in 1849. With a total length of 375 metres, it was once hailed as one of the achievements of modern engineering. It carries two road lanes and is made of wrought iron and stone. The card was sent by my dad who visited the city. Thanks Dad!
