Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The postcard shows a view of the iconic Hoover Dam, which is located on the border of the US States of Nevada and Arizona along the Colorado River. It was constructed during the Great Depression and was named after former US president Herbert Hoover. Its reservoir is known as Lake Mead and the dam has a volume of around 2.5 million square metres. It currently controls floods, provides hydroelectric power, and provides irrigation water.
