Postcard from Cape Verde!

Today I got a nice postcard from Cape Verde! The postcard shows a view of Cidade Velha, a city on the island of Santiago. It is the country's first and only UNESCO World Heritage Site. It once served as the country's capital and was also the first settlement of the European colonizers in the area. Cape Verde, officially known as the Republic of Cabo Verde, is a country consisting of several islands off the west coast of Africa. It has a population of about half a million people and its official language is Portuguese. Thanks Silvia!
