Today I got a nice postcard from Italy! The postcard shows a view of of the Bridge of Sighs, which is located in the famous city of Venice. The Bridge of Sighs was built in 1602 and it connects the New Prison to the Doge's Palace. It got its name by being the last bridge that convicts passed before being imprisoned. Lord Byron said that they would sigh upon seeing the beautiful view of Venice for the last time. Thanks Olia!
