Postcard from Russia!

Today I got a nice postcard from Russia! It shows an aerial view of the Naval Cathedral of St. Nicholas and the Epiphany. It is a Baroque Orthodox cathedral in St. Petersburg and has been the de facto main shrine of the Russian Navy. Memorial plaques for sunken Russian submarines are located in the church. Saint Nicholas is a patron saint of seamen. Its altar was consecrated in the presence of Catherine the Great and its shrine houses relics of the saint. Thanks Yuliya!
