Postcard from Latvia!

Today I got a great postcard from Latvia! The postcard shows multiple views of the country along with an outline of the country's map. Latvia was founded on 1918 but was later invaded by both the Germans and the Soviets. It stayed on as a Soviet Socialist Republic for fifty years until independence was gained once again in 1991 when the Soviet Union was dissolved. This new independence started with the peaceful singing revolution, which started in 1987. The card is an official Postcrossing card, LV-163548. Thanks Zanny!
