Cover & Maxicard from Germany!
Today I got a nice cover with a maxicard from Germany! The maxicard commemorates Georg Friedrich Handel, a German born in 1685 who would later become one of history's most popular composers. Handel first started making operas and eventually moved to England. His most popular piece, Messiah, was made in 1742. His coronation anthem has been played at every British Coronation since the coronation of George II. The stamp was issued in 1985. Thanks Johann!
