Postcard from Namibia!

Today I got a great postcard from Namibia! The postcard shows a view of the Swakopmund Lighthouse. Swakopmund is a city on the western coast of Namibia and its name translates to "Mouth of the Swakop." It has a population of about 42,000 people and it covers an area of 193 square kilometres. It was originally founded as the main harbour for German South-West Africa and many of its inhabitants still speak German. The city has many examples of German colonial architecture. Thanks Irene!
