Postcard from Taiwan!

Today I got a cool postcard from Taiwan! The postcard features a scene in the Dajia Matsu Holy Pilgrimage. The event is Taiwan's most important religious festival and is done to celebrate Matsu, the goddess of the sea. The pilgrimage is spread out over three counties with the participation of about 80 temples. At 300 miles for a full trip, it takes about eight days to complete the trip. Traditional Taiwanese folk performances are common throughout the trip. The postcard is an official Postcrossing card, TW-1323621. Thanks Mio!
