Postcard from the Czech Republic!

Today I got a nice postcard from the Czech Republic! The postcard shows two old panoramic views of Lidice, a village in the Czech Republic. The village as it stands today is actually located near the original village. The original village was destroyed during the Second World War as retribution for the assassination of a high-ranking Nazi official. The Lidice Memorial was made to remember the lives of innocent civilians that were lost. The postcard is an official Postcrossing card, CZ-491946. Thanks Dana!
