Postcard from the USA!

Today I got a nice postcard from the USA! The card features a painting by Gari Melchers. Gari Melchers was an American painter who painted in a wide variety of styles using different subjects. He was born in 1860 and he maintained studios in Paris, New York, and Virginia. This particular painting is called The Open Door, and was made around 1905-1910 and is an oil on canvas painting.
